There is a brand new World Trade Center (WTC) complex coming to Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja.
Authorities say after the completion of the first phase of construction, the centre would be open to the public early next year.
This project will be part of 323 locations in 89 countries, started in 1970 with the inauguration of the first World Trade Center in New York City.
Below are pictures that show the beauty of the anticipated World Trade Centre.
The world trade centre project in Abuja is funded by local and foreign financial institutions, as well as private investors. It costs about N200 billion, or just over $1 billion, making it the largest mixed-use development in West Africa.
There are over 300 world trade centres in the world, all established and operated by the World Trade Centre Association. The aim of constructing a trade centre of such magnitude is foster networking processes between corporations and governments, as under one roof, all services associated with global commerce takes place.
